ELAC
The English Learner Advisory Committee is mandated under California Education Code 52176(b). All schools with twenty-one (21) or more English learner (EL) students are required to establish an ELAC. The ELAC advises on programs and services for EL students and on strategies to engage parents in support of their child's education. The ELAC consists of parents or legal guardians of EL students or Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) students who have reclassified within the last four years and other interested stakeholders.
